Tisha B'Av is the ninth day (Tisha) of the Jewish month of Av and it is called the "saddest day in Jewish history".
Why?
Because the destruction of the first Jewish Temple and the destruction of the second Jewish Temple both occurred on this same exact day - 656 years apart.
Does anyone else find that fascinating?
Coincidence?
I think not...
Perhaps God was trying to send a message to His people about the fact that He is in control of even the bad things we experience in our lives?
Who knows? I guess trying to second guess God on these things isn't the point, but still...the temple destroyed twice, on the same day, 656 years apart?
Amazing.
