GOD IN AMERICA
Watch this excellent episode of the PBS Firing Line documentary, "God In America" to learn how the Church in America became the pawn of the Republican party.
Thanks for sharing this. This was fair, and allowed the evangelicals, including those who were very involved in the evangelical right to speak for themselves. They didn't make anyone the villains, but they did address the issues that have concerned me for quite some time.
this video a timeline sample reminds that genuine faith-trust in Christ doesn't appoint church into politics. The early ekklesia understood this well --- they didn't line up for candidates or causes; they were to Christ alone. Institutional Church, from the 4th century to the 19th century, was woven into politics of State. Following Christ never has included a political agenda. America is a pluralistic "religious marketplace"; Christ is not pluralistic; the world system cannot receive Christ --- unless He's first compromised by you. Are you still on the fool's errand of mixing faith and politics?
